 There is no doubt that Ethiopia, in different times had different names- Abyssinia, the Land of Punt, Land of Ophir, etc, was a source of human and ancient civilization. Paleo-anthropological evidences argue that Ethiopia is the source of mankind when Lucy (Australopiticus afarensis) was discovered on 30 November 1974 in a dried up lake near Hadar in Ethiopia’s north east. She was a new species and she miraculously walked on two legs 3.2 million years ago.
