Bookings

Contracts and agreements will be valid consequent to PET’s confirmation of the booking by fax, e-mail, letter or telephone. At the time of confirmation, a deposit of 25% of the total cost is requested. The remaining amount of the total cost shall be paid 30 days before the commencement of the tour. Unless prior arrangements have been made, PET is not indebted to conduct the tour if complete payment has not been received.

Cancellations

Abolition of confirmed bookings received more than 30 days prior to departure are subject to a cancellation fee of US$ 50 per person. Cancellation received between 30 and 15 days prior to departure will be subject to a penalty of 50% of the total rate of the tour. Cancellations received less than 15 days prior to departure will be subject to relinquishment of the entire tour rate. PET strongly recommends trip cancellation insurance.

Responsibility and Liability

Only the laws of Ethiopia govern PET’s liability to passengers transported in its own vehicles, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the court of Ethiopia in which the cause of action arises. Although every possible care is taken to safeguard you and your property, PET accepts no liability for loss or damage of any personal effects. PET will use its best efforts to assist as an agent to our clients in dealing with third parties such as hotels, airlines and other transport companies and travel agents. However, PET can not be held responsible for any loss or harm such as sickness, injury, death, acts of God, or additional costs incurred due to denied boarding, overbooking, cancellation or delay caused by the third party.

Prices

PET’s tour prices include all ground and domestic air transportation, hotel accommodations (double occupancy, on bed and breakfast basis), boat trip on Lake Tana, all entrance fees at churches, palaces & parks, all meals and cooking facilities on camping (full board basis), professional guiding and cooking services, mules & mule packers & rangers on walking, scouts at parks & walking, and all government taxes. However, prices do not include visa charges, beverages, fishing and other water sports equipment rentals, porterage fees, tips, personal items and needs. PET is not responsible for the amendment of rates that occur beyond its control.

Itineraries

Only selected itineraries are published in this site. However, numerous types of tours can be organized suiting the time and budget of the traveler. Combined tours can also be arranged on request. PET can not be held responsible for the interruption or changes of itineraries caused beyond its capacity.
